REFUND, CANCELLATION & RETURN POLICY

This Refund, Cancellation & Return Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases made on www.kovamhomefoods.com operated by Kovam Home Foods Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms stated below.

1. Nature of Products

Kovam Home Foods Private Limited deals in perishable food items including pickles, spice powders, and homemade food products. Due to hygiene and food safety standards, all sales are considered final unless otherwise stated in this Policy.

2. Order Cancellation

2.1 Cancellation by Customer

Customers may request cancellation only if the order has not been processed or dispatched.

Once an order is prepared, packed, or dispatched, cancellation is strictly not permitted.

2.2 Cancellation by Company

We reserve the right to cancel any order in the following cases:

  • Non-availability of product

  • Incorrect or incomplete customer information

  • Failed payment verification

  • Force majeure events (natural calamities, supply disruptions, etc.)

In such cases, a full refund will be initiated.

3. Returns Policy

Due to the perishable nature of our products:

We do NOT accept returns once the product is delivered.

However, we allow replacement or refund in case of:

  • Damaged product

  • Leakage

  • Incorrect item delivered

  • Manufacturing defect

4. Refund Eligibility

Refund requests will be considered only if:

  • The issue is reported within 24 hours of delivery

  • Clear photos/videos are shared showing damage or defect

  • The product is unused and unopened (where applicable)

Requests after 24 hours of delivery will not be entertained.

6. Refund Approval

7. Refund Mode & Timeline

If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method via Razorpay within:

7–10 business days

Processing time may vary based on bank or payment gateway policies.

8. Replacement Policy

In certain cases, instead of refund, we may offer a free replacement depending on stock availability and issue nature.

9. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will NOT be issued for:

  • Taste preference issues

  • Delays caused by courier partners

  • Incorrect address provided by customer

  • Customer not available at delivery location

  • Order placed by mistake

  • Product consumed partially or fully
